About Lyn

Lyn McCuaig is a Professional Bowenwork/Bowtech Practitioner and a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. She enjoys working with people using a holistic approach for pain relief and to meet optimal wellness goals.

Lyn discovered Bowtech therapy when she was a student of martial arts and suffering from painful plantar fasciitis. She was advised by her doctor, after having received physiotherapy, acupuncture, sports medicine consults and sleeping in metatarsal boots for 6 months with none of these approaches helping, that she should consider surgery. A family friend who was at the same time also suffering with plantar fasciitis was treated unsuccessfully with surgery and continues to walk with a cane.

Not wanting to go this route, Lyn found a Bowenwork/Bowtech practitioner and was amazed that she could feel relief in such a short period of time! She no longer felt that horrible pain when first waking in the morning and putting her feet on the floor or the pain when standing from a sitting position and taking those first few step. She was back in martial arts and even able to wear heels!

She is passionate about Bowen therapy because she knows first hand that it works. She wanted to study this amazing therapy and help people find the relief that she did. Because there are no contraindications anyone can receive Bowtech from newborns to the elderly and palliative care.

She believes that Allopathic medicine and Natural therapies should be able to work together to help people achieve their optimum wellness. To that end Bowen Therapy is especially beneficial for people suffering with asthma, high blood pressure, digestive issues, following chemotherapy, pre and post op surgeries, pain relief from kidney stones, helping with rehabilitation, colicky babies, autism, anxiety, migraines, back pain, knee pain, carpal tunnel, frozen shoulder, neck pain, concussion, just to name a few.

Lyn is also a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, and Certified Ayurvedic practitioner. In keeping with a holistic approach to serving clients she provides nutritional consults in combination with Bowen Therapy, as well as seeing clients separately for Bowenwork or Nutrition Consulting.

She is a member in good standing with the following:

Academy of Naturopaths and Naturotherapists

Canadian School of Natural Nutrition Association

Canadian Bowenwork/Bowtech Group
